What are your hours of operation?

How do I return damaged, expired, or unusable medications?

With the exception of mandatory product recalls issued by a drug manufacturer or the FDA, AmMed Homecare Pharmacy does not accept returns of prescription medications from its customers. Pharmacy staff will, however, assist you in determining how to properly dispose of damaged, expired, or unusable medications?

What is the proper method of disposing of damaged, expired, or unusable medications?

AmMed Homecare Pharmacy recommends that consumers follow guidelines for disposal of medications based first on any instructions provided on the drug label or accompanying drug information sheets. If no guidelines are provided, then remove the drugs from their original container; mix them with an undesirable substance, such as kitty litter or coffee grounds; place them in a sealable baggy, and throw them in your household trash.
