Important Insurance Information
If you’re covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private commercial insurance such as Blue Cross or Humana, chances are you can receive diabetes test supplies for little or NO COST. Of course, any normal deductibles and co-pays apply as usual.
Here’s How It Works
AmMed Direct is an approved Medicare Part B provider. So, if Medicare is your primary insurer, Medicare pays 80% of your diabetes test supply costs once your annual deductible is met. If you have supplemental insurance, that usually covers your 20% co-pay. So, you would owe nothing, and your test supplies would be FREE! AmMed Direct is also a participating Medicaid provider in many states. You may receive your test supplies for free if Medicaid is your primary or secondary insurance provider.
